The 354th Maintenance Squadron (354 MXS) at Eielson AFB intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed-price contract to Phillips Corporation, Federal Division, for the repair of two (2) Haas CNC 3-axis machines (VF-5 and TM-2 models) located at Eielson AFB, Alaska.


The requirement includes furnishing and installing the required Haas Battery Board Service Kit (Part No. 93-32-4307) for each machine, reinitializing each machine's software and control systems following installation, performing comprehensive functionality testing to verify operation in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, and removing all debris and packaging generated during the repair.


Phillips Corporation, Federal Division, is the sole and exclusive distributor authorized to provide factory-certified Haas CNC machine service for United States Government facilities. Supporting documentation establishes that Phillips Corporation is the only source authorized to perform factory-certified repair services on Haas equipment installed at U.S. Government facilities. Accordingly, no other source is known to satisfy the Government's requirement for OEM-certified repair services.


This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the Government's requirement, including authorization to provide factory-certified Haas CNC repair services for U.S. Government facilities. Capability statements must be received by the closing date and time identified in this notice. Responses will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is appropriate. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
