The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to Thompson Machinery Commerce Corporation for recurring full-service maintenance and rebuilds of the Caterpillar G3520C generator set and associated radiator system at the Alvin C. Major deliverables include a standard top end overhaul every 18,000 service hours and a full out-of-frame overhaul during the fifth year of the contract. The estimated period of performance spans five ordering periods from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2031.
