Lee County Transit is seeking to continue its use of the cloud-based transit planning and scheduling software provided by Remix Technologies, LLC under a single-source procurement, as permitted by section 3.9 of the Procurement Ordinance 25-11. The software is essential for efficient service planning, offering advanced tools such as sketch planning using existing stop infrastructure, real-time demographic impact analysis, instant cost estimation based on frequency and timetables, unlimited custom data layers, GTFS uploads, public engagement features, travel-time isochrone visualizations, and a Title VI compliance engine. Users can export data to Excel, Google Earth, shapefiles, GTFS, and PNG formats, and share proposals with internal teams, the public, and county leadership for feedback and review. The solution enables a broader team of staff to participate in planning with minimal training, improving workflow, reducing time spent on tasks, and enhancing the accuracy and detail of service planning outcomes. Remix Technologies, LLC is the sole provider of this specific software platform, which is already fully integrated into LeeTran’s existing operations. Alternative products do not offer the same comprehensive feature set or seamless compatibility with current workflows, making continued use of Remix critical to maintaining operational efficiency and service quality. The procurement is being conducted as a single-source acquisition because no other vendor can replicate the functionality, proprietary technology, and ongoing product improvements that Remix delivers. The contract is open for review through July 24, 2026, and any firm believing it can meet the requirements must contact Kevin Walker at Lee County Procurement Management for consideration. The solicitation number is SS260317KCW, and the software is designated as a software-as-a-service subscription with regular updates and support included.

*** THIS IS NOT A BID *** The description of services intended for purchase from a single source is posted in accordance with section 3.9, Procurement Ordinance 25-11, and will be posted for a minimum of 15 business days. Commodity or Service Required: Cloud-Based Transit Planning and Scheduling Software Service Description: Lee County Transit (LeeTran) seeks to execute a single-source procurement for continued access to the cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) transit planning and scheduling software platform that provides fast and accurate sketch planning using existing stop infrastructure; instant demographic impact analysis; instant cost estimates based on frequency, timetables, and blocking; unlimited custom data layers and GTFS uploads; public engagement and share features; travel-time isochrone visualizations; Title VI Engine; export timetables into excel; and consistent and regular product improvements/feature launches. Additionally, users can export changes and proposals to Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, shapefiles, GTFS, and PNG files. Users can share changes with other users, the public and County administration for review and comments. Intended Single Source: Remix Technologies, LLC Justification for Single Source Acquisition: Remix Technologies LLC is the only company that can provide the proprietary software currently integrated into the Transit system. Continuing the use of the Remix Software will reduce time spent on the service planning projects and increase efficiency of staff to develop more detailed and accurate service planning analysis. Remix offers a comprehensive feature set that is currently not available with other products. In addition, the planning team can more easily reach out to the public, other team members, and the Board to gather feedback. With limited training, more staff can be a part of the planning process, which will save time, improve workflow, and result in better service. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Single Source Procurement method to purchase from Remix Technologies, LLC to supply the above. Respond to: If your firm feels they have the ability to supply the above, please contact Kevin Walker, Lee County Procurement Management at KWalker2@leegov.com for review.
