REPAIRS TO FUEL STORAGE TANKS AND SYSTEMS CLIN 006 - Building 93, Fire Department (UST-093-01) Underground Storage Tank (UST), Diesel, 1,000 gallons. a)Remove residual sludge and fuel from the tank and dispose of them as per FGS section C19.3.2.8. b)Clean the tank and return it to government service as per UFGS 33 01 50.55 (Cleaning of Petroleum Storage Tanks) and UFC 3-460-03. c)Calibrate the tank by API Chapter 2 -Tank Calibration (API MPMS 2.2A, API MPMS 2.2B, API MPMS 2.2C, API MPMS 2.2D or API MPMS 2.2E), API Standard 2550, UFGS 33 56 21.17. Other calibration methods can be used if presented to and approved by the Government. The strapping charts shall not include tank volume above the level of the overflows. Preparation of new calibration tables from inspection report information or interpolation of existing tables shall not be permitted. The table shall be certified by a third party and stamped by a Professional Engineer. In addition, two laminated copies of each Imperial and Metric unit and electronic media data files shall also be provided to FEAD. d) High-level alarms and level indicators need to be installed.
