RFP Spanish-speaking interpreter to provide services to families

The Quinault Indian Nation is seeking a local, bilingual Spanish-speaking interpreter to provide services for Quinault Human Services. The selected contractor will facilitate communication for non-English speaking clients during family meetings, court hearings, and staff engagements. Key responsibilities include coordinating schedules with Human Services staff and communicating concerns on behalf of clients and support members. The contractor must be a local community member, provide their own transportation, and sign an oath of confidentiality. While transportation is the contractor's responsibility, mileage reimbursement is available for appointments located outside the village of Taholah at an approved government rate. Proposals must be submitted via email by September 27, 2026, and must include a flat fee cost proposal, a UEI number, personnel qualifications, and at least three professional references. Award selection is based on a point system evaluating project understanding and work plan (30 points), qualifications and experience with tribal communities (30 points), the cost proposal (30 points), and past performance (10 points). Eligible contractors must not be suspended or debarred by the federal government and must obtain a Quinault Indian Nation business license and submit a Form W-9 within ten days of signing. Indian Preference applies to this procurement, requiring certification from the Tribal Employment Rights Office.
