San Bernadino Shade Equity Project

The San Bernardino Shade Equity Project is a forecast initiative led by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) to increase canopy cover through a partnership between TreePeople, the City of San Bernardino, and the Rialto Unified School District. The project scope includes the planting of 750 number 15 trees within San Bernardino and the distribution of 450 number 15 trees to the Rialto Unified School District for installation on school campuses. To ensure sustainability, all selected tree species must be low maintenance and drought tolerant.
