TD2193635 Pine Creek Preventative Maintenance Project (Notification of Streambed Alteration, No., EPIMS-INY-63407-R6)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-INY-63407-R6 for the Pine Creek Preventative Maintenance Project, located in the Inyo National Forest within Inyo County, California. This project, conducted by Southern California Edison, involves the removal of one 60-foot-tall wood utility pole (Pole 1830633E) and its replacement with a new 60-foot-tall composite pole set in a 17-inch-diameter plastic pipe. The work will be performed using a helicopter, personnel support vehicles, and hand tools such as augers, shovels, and chains. The project is governed by Fish and Game Code Section 1602 and is granted a categorical exemption under California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15301 (b and d), as it rehabilitates an existing structure to meet public health and safety standards. Environmental impacts are minimal, with anticipated temporary impacts of 0.007-acre (19 linear feet) and permanent impacts of less than 0.0001-acre (one linear foot) to resources subject to the Fish and Game Code.
