Integrate PIEE with CLEATUS (DoD solicitation notices)
Connect PIEE so DoD solicitations directed at your CAGE import into CLEATUS automatically. Your Contractor Account Manager approves one read-only role.
The Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) is the Department of Defense (DoD) contracting portal. A contracting officer can direct a solicitation at the companies on a contract vehicle. This integration brings the solicitations directed at your Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code into CLEATUS, next to your other opportunities.
Unlike the General Services Administration (GSA) eBuy connector, you do not add a point of contact yourself. CLEATUS requests read-only access under your CAGE code. Your Contractor Account Manager (CAM) approves it.

Who this is for
DoD contractors whose CAGE code is on a PIEE contract vehicle, such as SeaPort NxG. Use it to see solicitations directed at your company in CLEATUS, with matching, alerts, and proposal support.
What you'll need
- A CAGE code that is already set up in PIEE. It must have a Group and a CAM. CLEATUS cannot create these for you.
- Your CAM, to approve one role request. PIEE sends the request to your CAM by email.
- A DATA + AI + Automations plan or higher.
Setup (about 5 minutes, plus your CAM's approval)
1. Open the PIEE integration in CLEATUS
Open Settings in the sidebar, then Integrations. Under Contract Vehicles, find the PIEE card and click Set up.
2. Confirm the CAGE code
CLEATUS uses the CAGE code from your System for Award Management (SAM) profile and shows it on the page. If no CAGE code is on file, enter your 5-character CAGE code. To register under a different CAGE code, click Use a different CAGE.
3. Click Connect PIEE
CLEATUS checks that your CAGE code is set up in PIEE, then requests access. The status shows Connecting while this runs, which usually takes a few minutes. You can leave the page and come back.
If your CAGE code has no Group or CAM in PIEE, the status changes to CAGE Not in PIEE. Set up the Group and CAM in PIEE, then click Retry connection on the same page.
4. Your CAM activates the role
PIEE asks your CAM to approve the SOL / Proposal View Only role for CLEATUS. SOL is the PIEE Solicitation module. The status in CLEATUS shows Pending Activation until your CAM approves. This step can take a few days, so tell your CAM to expect the request.
When your CAM approves, the status changes to Connected automatically. The integration page does not update in real time. If the page is open when your CAM approves, reload it to see the new status.
CLEATUS emails your team when the status changes to Pending Activation, CAGE Not in PIEE, or Connected.
5. Receive directed solicitations automatically
When the status is Connected, notices directed at your CAGE code import as PIEE sends them. To see them, open Contracts > Imported Contracts in the sidebar, then open the PIEE tab. You can also click View imported contracts on the PIEE integration page. It opens the same tab. To import a contract yourself, see Importing a Contract.
Connection statuses

A retry is safe. It never creates a duplicate request.
What shows up in the PIEE tab
A directed notice is an alert from a contracting officer, not the full solicitation package. SAM.gov usually publishes the same solicitation within about a day, with the complete record and the request for proposal (RFP) attached. CLEATUS treats the notice and the SAM.gov record as one opportunity:
- Matched notices show as a standard contract card, with documents, scoring, and the usual pipeline actions.
- Notices that wait for the full record show the details from the PIEE notice: notice ID, contracting office, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code, Product Service Code (PSC), and description. The card shows Awaiting full details. It fills in automatically when the SAM.gov record arrives. You do not need to do anything.
The tab lists notices with the newest first.
If PIEE is not connected, the tab shows a Configure PIEE button that opens the setup page.
Security and permissions
- CLEATUS requests the SOL / Proposal View Only role, which is read-only. CLEATUS never submits a proposal, a quote, or any other document in PIEE for you.
- The CLEATUS access is separate from the PIEE accounts that your team uses. CLEATUS never asks for your team's PIEE credentials.
- Your CAM controls the access. Nothing is active until your CAM approves it. Your CAM can deactivate the role in PIEE at any time.
Disconnect
Ask your CAM to deactivate the CLEATUS role in PIEE. This stops the notices at the source. Contact support if you also want to reset the connector in CLEATUS, for example to register under a different CAGE code.
