Full Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES/PROPOSALS OR AN INVITATION TO BID. Mission and Installation Contracting Center Fort Eustis intends to award a sole source contract to General Dynamics C4 Systems. The contractor shall provide one (1) FASTLANE KG-75A ATM/SONET multi-mode encryptor (P/N FLS-54999-1). This action will result in a FFP contract. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(b)(1). Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals recevied within five (5) days after date of publication (NLT 28 Jul, 3:30 pm EST) of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received prior to the deadline will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The statuatory authority permitting other than full and open competition 41 U.S.C. 25 [c](1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Suppliers or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
