CURRENT SITUATION: Hydrochloric acid day tank is not vented inside the ROWPU. This deficiency was noted during the 2024 Sanitary Survey as a minor deficiency, CLDJ-24-SS-029. Two options: Modifying the existing day tank by installing a HCL Vapor Scrubber or replacing the day tank with one that already has a CL Vapor Scrubber installed. REQUIREMENT: UFC 3-230-01, Ch. 2 (2-1.1.2) UFC 3-230-03, Ch. 8 (8-2) AWWA’s Water Treatment Plant Design and Ten State Standards, Part 5 MISSION IMPACT: Will remain a continued deficiency tracked by CNIC.
