This project for Navfac Northwest at the Bangor PDC involves expanding the paved area and upgrading loading dock equipment at the SWS warehouse to improve vehicle maneuvering. The scope of work includes the installation of 9,600 square feet of new asphalt, extending 32 feet out and 300 feet parallel to the warehouse. This construction requires tree removal, ground preparation and base course installation per WSDOT standards, the installation of catch basins for proper drainage, and the addition of new curbing and traffic line painting. Additionally, the project requires relocating a fire hydrant and bollards to a location approved by the Fire Marshall. The contract also mandates the replacement of four existing dock levelers with new hydraulic models, including all necessary supporting infrastructure such as conduit, conductors, breakers, and updated panel schedules. To minimize disruptions to building operations, the contractor must replace dock levelers one at a time and phase the asphalt installation. All demolition work involves the removal of old levelers, support infrastructure, and existing curbing to make way for the new improvements.
