Contract modification P00013 to contract HDEC02-11-D-0005 involves an agreement between the Defense Commissary Agency and Palama Holdings LLC, doing business as Palama Meats, for the provision of fresh and frozen beef products. This specific modification extends the period of performance by approximately two months, from September 9, 2018, through October 20, 2018, with an estimated cost of 308,966 dollars. The extension is intended to prevent any interruption in the delivery of fresh beef products to four commissary stores located in the Pacific Area during the transition to a new contract award. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 311611 and was managed by the Department of Defense. The justification for this extension was based on the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), identifying Palama Holdings LLC as the only responsible source capable of meeting the requirement during this interim period. Administrative oversight for the contract was handled by the Defense Commissary Agency office in Fort Gregg Adams, Virginia, with performance taking place in Fort Lee, Virginia.
