Frederick Community College is seeking a qualified Government Affairs consultant or firm to deliver comprehensive lobbying and government relations services focused primarily on advancing the college’s interests before the Maryland General Assembly and among state lawmakers. The selected proposer must demonstrate a proven history of representing community colleges in legislative settings, with a strong understanding of Maryland’s political landscape and a track record of securing funding and policy support for higher education institutions. This role requires close collaboration with FCC leadership to advocate for initiatives that enhance student success, faculty development, and community engagement through strategic advocacy and legislative outreach. The consultant will be expected to provide ongoing, high-level representation at the state level, building relationships with key decision makers and staying actively engaged in legislative processes that impact public higher education. Proposals must reflect expertise in navigating state government systems and a clear strategy for aligning advocacy efforts with FCC’s mission.
