Justification: Induction of this project is required due to the recent Notice of Violation Order (NOVO) for the WWTP. Several deficiencies were identified that need to corrective action which involves repairs. The work will be divided into two phases, based on the preliminary tank inspection. The project scope for this second phase will be for the anoxic tanks #1, #2, #3 and #4, which involves: (Part 1) For anoxic tanks #1, #2, #3 and #4, the scope of work will be: draining each tank for concrete inspection and concrete defect mapping; coring tanks in select locations to determine concrete repairs; removing existing aeration piping and diffusers; removing all loose/bad concrete; removing/treating rust for exposed rebar; repairing concrete with polymer concrete to match existing surfaces; replacing existing aeration valving/piping/diffusers with variable speed mixers to provide an anoxic oxygen concentration in the tanks; and replacing railings and walkways with new railings and walkways.
