The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) is continuing its Technology Information Exchange (TIE) program, aimed at fostering dialogue between industry representatives and ARCIC regarding emerging technologies that could enhance Army Force Operating Capabilities (FOCs). Since its inception in 2004, ARCIC has conducted 30 TIE events, bringing together companies with successful independent research and development projects relevant to the Department of Defense’s warfighting needs. These sessions, hosted by senior ARCIC officials, seek to provide industry with insights that can help guide their R&D efforts toward current and future Army capability priorities, though no financial reimbursement or contracts will result from participation. This effort is a Request for Information (RFI) rather than a solicitation, used to gather intelligence on existing independent R&D projects that align with specified Army capability areas such as Battle Command, Maneuver, Lethality, Protection, and Strategic Responsiveness, among others detailed in TRADOC Pamphlet 525-66. Respondents are asked to provide concise descriptions of their R&D programs, previous successes meeting DoD requirements, and relevant projects addressing Army needs, along with contact information. Based on submissions, some companies may be invited to participate in focused TIE sessions to discuss their technologies in more depth. Responses are directed to the TIE Coordinator at ARCIC in Fort Monroe, Virginia, and participation does not guarantee contract opportunities or funding.
