What is an Opportunity?
An Opportunity in CLEATUS is a contract you've added to your pipeline to begin working on with AI-powered tools. Whether matched automatically or added manually from Contract Search, an Opportunity activates compliance scoring, contract breakdowns, AI chat, proposal drafting, and pursuit tracking.
How matching works
CLEATUS evaluates three areas when matching contracts:
- Company Profile — your NAICS codes, certifications, past performance, and business details.
- Preferences — geographic regions, contract value range, agency type, and set-asides.
- Contract requirements — scope, qualifications, and compliance needs.
Keep your Company Profile current to maintain match quality.

Automated matching
CLEATUS scans thousands of contracts daily across federal, state, local, and education agencies — including SAM.gov, state portals, and education-sector sources. Matches arrive in your Opportunities Dashboard so you can focus on high-priority contracts without manual research.
Manual additions
Have a contract in mind from another source? Upload it to activate the same AI tools — compliance score, document analysis, and bid recommendations. Useful for analyzing private or niche RFPs and RFQs that aren't in CLEATUS's default database.
Compliance Score
Every contract is assigned a Compliance Score that measures fit against your business profile. Inputs include:
- Certifications (HUBZone, SDVOSB, 8(a), etc.)
- Past performance
- NAICS code alignment
- Geographic region
- Key qualifications, team size, and financial requirements
A higher score means a stronger fit, helping you prioritize.
AI analysis
For every opportunity in your pipeline, CLEATUS analyzes:

Go to Pipeline to view automatically matched contracts, or open them straight from email notifications. Use filters to refine results:
- Compliance Score — focus on high-fit contracts first.
- Agency type — narrow by federal, state, or local.
- Geographic region — target contracts in specific locations.
2 — Add opportunities manually
Upload a contract for analysis. CLEATUS assigns a Compliance Score, scans documents for key details, and produces AI-driven insights to guide your bid strategy.
3 — Use the AI tools
For every opportunity, CLEATUS offers:
