PG&E EV Chargers

The California Department of Parks and Recreation, Northern Buttes District, is granting a Right of Entry permit to PG&E to install ten electric vehicle chargers at the Discovery Hall parking area within the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area in Butte County. This project is part of the EV Charge Parks Pilot Participation Agreement and is classified under NAICS code 237130. The project has been issued a Notice of Exemption based on categorical exemptions for minor alterations and maintenance that result in negligible expansion of use. The scope of work includes significant electrical and civil infrastructure improvements. PG&E will excavate two trenches to install a new meter and electrical conduit, install an electrical transformer on a concrete pad mount, and set ten charger foundations and pedestals. Site restoration and construction activities include pouring and repairing approximately 10 square feet of concrete, restoring 355 square feet of softscape, and regrading and pouring 570 square feet of concrete for parking stalls and 130 square feet for sidewalks. The project will be completed with the installation of vehicle bollards and appropriate signage, with Jared Zucker serving as the primary point of contact.
