DELIVERABLE: CAT2, DBB-AE DESIGN PSC CODE: C1NB – ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING – CONSTRUCTION MECHANICAL HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS CONSTR PSC CODE: Z2NB – REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF HHEATING AND COOLING PLANTS UNIFORMAT MASTER SYSYTEM: D30 – HVAC REQUESTED SCHEDULE: DESIGN - FY2024-Q4 / CONSTR. FY25-Q4 LOCATION: TRITRAFAC MECHANICAL PLANT, BLDG. 2001, NBK-BANGOR. ENERGY Notes: CNRNW-06209 1391: YES REQUIREMENT: Replace Existing Chiller (#2). Includes replacement of both Chiller#2 and Cooling Tower #2. Demo of existing unused systems and supporting components and equipment. Fully Integrate all newly replaced systems, components and equipment, mechanically, electrically, seismically, and communicatively. Ensure proper operation at time of project completion. ** A detailed Customer provided Scope of Work is located in the V-drive Project Folder. JUSTIFICATION: Existing Chiller is unreliable, leaks refrigerant, and not energy efficient. Existing Cooling Tower leaks water – profusely. The existing Cooling Tower system requires excessive make-up water to maintain appropriate sump levels. Intent for replacing these systems is to make the existing Chilled Water Plant more efficient, reliable, and to conserve water; as-well-as to make more reliable and unplanned outage less frequent, and to reduce costly ongoing repairs to the system. The original Cooling Towers were built with 1979 construction. NOTES: 1. Recommend that ET/CM establish a contractor laydown area/plan, prior to award and shall be written and identified in the SOW. 2. Chiller Asset # -- 2001-0-MEC-1565-40-1B. 3.
