Includes replacement of both Chiller#2 and Cooling Tower #2. Demo of existing unused systems and supporting components and equipment. Fully Integrate all newly replaced systems, components and equipment, mechanically, electrically, seismically, and communicatively. JUSTIFICATION: Existing Chiller is unreliable, leaks refrigerant, and not energy efficient. Existing Cooling Tower leaks water – profusely. The existing Cooling Tower system requires excessive make-up water to maintain appropriate sump levels. Intent for replacing these systems is to make the existing Chilled Water Plant more efficient, reliable, and to conserve water; as-well-as to make more reliable and unplanned outage less frequent, and to reduce costly ongoing repairs to the system. The original Cooling Towers were built with 1979 construction. NOTES: 1.
