The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power plans to install fifteen underground vaults and approximately 9,000 feet of underground conduit along Victory Blvd starting at Blewett Ave and going east to Van Nuys Blvd, continuing south along Van Nuys Blvd and ending at Friar St in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA as part of a 34.5 kilovolt (kV) line extension. LADWP crews will use a backhoe to excavate an approximately 3-foot-wide trench for the 9,000-foot conduit run. Crews will also excavate pits to place 15 pre-cast vaults, each measuring approximately 9 feet wide by 17 feet long. Excavated trenches will be backfilled, street surfaces will be restored and resurfaced.
