Pasadena Walktober 2026 Event Planning and Management

The City of Pasadena’s Transportation Department is soliciting proposals to plan, coordinate, promote, and implement Walktober 2026, its annual month-long walking program held each October. The selected consultant will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the event, including designing and executing a series of community walking activities that encourage residents and visitors of all ages and abilities to explore neighborhoods, parks, business districts, cultural sites, and public spaces on foot. The consultant must deliver comprehensive project management services, handle all aspects of event planning and implementation, conduct marketing and outreach to maximize participation, and ensure activities align with goals around health promotion, active transportation, civic engagement, environmental awareness, and community connection. The consultant will also be required to produce a detailed summary report documenting the successful execution of Walktober 2026, capturing participation metrics, feedback, challenges, and outcomes. Proposals are due by July 23, 2026, and the solicitation, numbered 2026-Informal-0392, was posted on June 30, 2026.
