HV SYSTEM REPAIRS, FEEDERS #3, 4 AND 9

This project shall repair the remaining medium and high voltage (HV) electrical distribution system in the Weapons, PWD, Retail Core and Fuel areas of the Naval Station. Scope of effort shall include the following 15 KV feeders and associated switch gear. These repairs represent the remaining needed effort to replace deteriorated electrical infrastructural after the emergency award of the Cross Arm and Insulator replacement package (FY18) due to resulting multiple outages from power pole fires throughout the Naval Station electrical distribution system over a multiple year period. Repairs by feeder listed below: Feeder 3 & 4, (B/64 Main Power Plant to Camp Mitchell): Extend underground infrastructural from manhole PO-3 near poles 34003 and 34004 to 34013 and new Camp Mitchell manhole near pole 40018 over the current span of 18 poles. Install two fully capable (operations and monitor) 6 Way and one (1) 4 way SF6 switches. Conductor size to match existing of 250 MCM. Effort includes the relocation of communication network, currently installed on the power pole infrastructural. Add one spare conductive each for 15KW and Communication conduct with pull rope over same span each. Underground construction to meet code requirements for voltage type, distance and communication. This effort will extent Feeder 3 along with Feeder 4 and 9 into Camp Mitchell via SF6 switching and provide seamless 15 KV underground construction from the Main Power Plant to both the Camp Mitchell and LCAC Project areas. Feeder 4 Fuels Area: Replace 85 poles starting at pole 34094 and install four (4) pole mounted gang air switches. Feeder 3 and 4 Pier 3 Area Supply: Replace 20 poles starting at pole 34094 and install two (2) pole mounted gang air switch, one on each feeder.
