Find your UEI Code

Your Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) is a 12-character code of letters and numbers. SAM.gov, the federal System for Award Management, assigns it to your business.

Add your UEI to CLEATUS to import your SAM.gov registration details. CLEATUS also imports your federal contracts and contract vehicles from SAM.gov, so your recommendations and proposals start from real data.

Find your UEI on SAM.gov

Step 1: Sign in to SAM.gov

Go to SAM.gov and sign in.

Step 2: Open your active registrations

Click Entity Registrations in the menu and find your Active Registrations list.

Step 3: Copy your UEI

Find the Unique Entity ID at the top of your registration details. Copy it.

Find a UEI in the CLEATUS contractor directory

You can also look up a UEI without a SAM.gov sign-in. This works for your company and for any other registered contractor.

1. Open the contractor directory.
2. Search the legal business name of the company.
3. Open the company profile and select the Registration tab. The tab shows the UEI and the Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code.

Import your UEI into CLEATUS

1. In the CLEATUS dashboard, open Capture Profile > Company Details.
2. Click Import from UEI.
3. Paste your UEI in UEI Code and click Import.
4. Review the imported fields. Company Details saves your changes automatically.

The import fills your business name, website, CAGE code, addresses, certifications, set-asides, and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. New accounts can also enter the UEI during setup.
