Capability Statement Builder

Contracting officers and prime contractors read capability statements to decide if a company fits their work. You do not need an account.

Build your statement

The builder has five tabs. Fill each tab, then click Next.

Company Info

Enter your company name, year and state of incorporation, and corporation type. Add your Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and your Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code.

Branding

Write a company summary of 50 to 1,000 characters. You can add a slogan, upload a PNG or JPEG logo of up to 30 megabytes (MB), and select your primary and secondary colors.

Competencies

Write your Core Competencies and your Differentiators. Each one needs 50 to 1,000 characters.

Certifications

Add your federal and state certifications, contract vehicles, agencies served, major clients, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes, partners, and staff clearances. All fields on this tab are optional.

Contact

Enter the contact name, phone number, and email address. Then click Generate Capability Statement to download the PDF.

To check the layout first, click Preview at the top of the builder. Then click Download Capability Statement to download the PDF.

Your draft is saved in your browser:

The builder keeps your draft in your browser, so you can come back to it later. To clear every field, click Reset Form.

Use your statement in CLEATUS

Give your capability statement to CLEATUS, so it learns what your company does.

  1. In the CLEATUS dashboard, open Capture Profile > Capabilities.
  2. Click Import from Capability Statement, then click Continue.
  3. Upload the PDF. The importer also accepts Word (DOC, DOCX) and plain text (TXT) files.
  4. CLEATUS reads the document and adds each new capability to your profile. Each capability gets a title, a description, differentiators, and NAICS codes.

The import keeps your current capabilities and skips any capability that you already have.
